I DO BELIEVE THAT THE GIG TONITE WAS ONE OF THE STRANGEST FOR A WHILE .THE PLACE WAS A RE VAMPED JCPENNY,WITH ALL THE STALLS TAKEN OUT AND TURNED INTO A GYM UPSTAIRS ,AND A FLEA MARKET TYPE PLACE DOWNSTAIRS, WITH A STAGE AT ONE END .OUR DRESSING ROOM WAS PART BOXING RING , PART LINGERIE DEPT ..DIDNT KNOW WHETHER TO HAVE A GO AT THE PUNCHBAG OR SLIP INTO SOMETHING COOL ..BUT THE CROWD WERE READY TO ROCK THATS FOR SURE .THEY WERE FAR TOO POLITE AT FIRST ,AND IT TOOK THEM A WHILE TO REALISE THEY COULD HAVE A SHOUT AND SCREAM ,BUT WE GOT DOWN TO IT AND HAD THEM YELLING THERE HEARTS OUT BY THE 3 RD SONG.AT THE END THEY WENT NUTS AND WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME ...WHEN WE FINISHED AFTER SIGNING , WE WENT INTO THE TOWN AND WATCHED THE PYROTECHNIC DISPLAY FROM THE COOS BAY COUNCIL FIREWORK SHOW . THE WHOLE TOWN HAD TURNED OUT LINING THE STREETS TO WATCH . IT WAS FUN .SOME HAD SET UP THERE OWN DISPLAYS ON MOST OF THE STREET CORNERES TOO MAD BUGGERS , BUT THEY WERE ENJOYING BEATING THE BRITS ONCE MORE ,AND I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT TILL I GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL.....ONLY JOKING ,BUT WHAT WAS FASCINATING WAS THAT IN 1697 A SHIP SAILED UP THE COAST, CALLED THE JENNY,AND THEY SETTLED HERE ALL THOSE YEARS AGO,AND YOU CANT BLAME THEM EITHER .ITS SO PRETTY UP HERE...ANYWAYS .....IM OFF TO MY PIT AND TOMORROW WE HAVE ANOTHER 3/4 HOURS TRAVELLING , AND LETS SEE WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS ..
LAURIE DID A GREAT JOB AS USUAL, BUT IT WAS CLOSE AS TO WHETHER WE DID THE GIG AT ALL , CAUSE THE PRODUCTION WAS LACKING IN THE EARLY PART OF THE DAY , BUT HE MADE IT HAPPEN , AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE EFFORT ONCE AGAIN ....SEE YA !!!!!!!!!!
