LAST ONE FOR A WHILE

WE ALL SAID GOODBYES AFTER THE LAST SHOW,AND ITS ALWAYS A WEIRD MOMENT TO SAY GOODBYE TO GUYS YOUVE BEEN COOPED UP WITH FOR 8 WEEKS..AT THE SAME TIME YOU CANT WAIT TO BREAK THE ROUTINE ALSO ..I MISS DRIVING MY CAR FOR INSTANCE .I HATE BEING DRIVEN AROUND ALL THE TIME,I LIKE BEING IN CONTROL OF MY OWN DESTINY AND HAVING THE FREEDOM TO GO MY OWN WAY OCCASIONALLY ..ON TOUR ,ITS ALL SET OUT AND THE PROGRAM CANT BE ALTERED , DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SCHEDULING.ITS SO HOT HERE IN TEXAS RIGHT NOW,AND TO GO FROM A COMFORTABLE 77DEGREES TO 110,IN A FEW SHORT HOURS ,DOES TAKE IT OUT OF ME...IVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP WELL SINCE I CAME HOME AS I NEED TIME TO READJUST TO THE TIME ZONE AND THE BREAK IN THE ROUTINE .IT ALWAYS TAKES ME A WEEK TO COME DOWN FROM THE TOURS WE DO .I WENT TO BED AT 2 AM TONITE AND GOT UP AT 4 30AM, CAUSE I WAS OVERTIRED AND HAVE BEEN SITTING HERE TALKIN TO THE UK,CAUSE THEY ARE 6 HRS AHEAD AND WELL INTO THE DAY ALREADY..SO THATS NICE ....I HAD A JAM WITH BUDDY WHITTINGTON TONITE IN A TEXAN CLUB.AND MET SOME REALLY FINE PLAYERS FROM THE OLD ZZ TOP.AND THE HIGHERARCHY OF TEXAN MUSICIANS HERE IN FT WORTH .ANYWAYS IM CLOSING MY BLOGS FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS TILL I HAVE SOMETHING MORE TO YAK ABOUT ....SEE YA !!!!!!!!!!THANKS FOR READING MY POSTS EVERYONE .COME BACK SOON ..PETE

  1. Wow Pete. Buddy Whittington is a great blues guitarist. Loved his work with John Mayall all those years he was with him. Was sadden when John decided to end The Bluesbreakers.
